# Business settings

> Your business name, contact details, and branding.

Your business settings control what clients see on quotes and invoices. Set these up before sending your first quote.

## Accessing business settings

Go to **Account → Settings → Business**.

## Business information

**Business name** — appears on every quote, invoice, and email sent from Clarely. Use the name your clients recognize.

**Business slug** — the URL identifier for your team portal. Your team members log in at `clarely.app/your-slug`. Keep it short and recognizable. Changing this changes your team portal URL, so update your team if you do.

**Contact email** — the reply-to email on client-facing emails from Clarely. Make sure this is a monitored inbox.

**Phone number** — displayed on quotes and invoices as a contact option for clients.

**Business address** — your street address, city, state, and ZIP code. Appears on invoices for billing reference.

**Business registration / license number** — optional. Displays on quotes and invoices as a credibility signal, especially useful for commercial clients and property managers.

**Website URL** — optional. Displays on quotes and invoices. Standard for freelancers and professional services business owners.

**Tagline** — optional. A short descriptor that appears on quote and invoice documents alongside your business name.

**Logo** — upload your business logo to display on quotes and invoices. Supported formats: PNG, JPG, SVG. Recommended size: at least 300px wide.

## Payment handles

Payment handles (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle) are configured in **Settings → Invoicing**, not here. See [Payment handling](/invoices/payment-handling) for setup instructions.

Your business name and logo are the two settings on this page that most directly affect what clients see on quotes and invoices.

## Saving changes

Changes to business settings take effect immediately for new quotes and invoices. Existing sent quotes and invoices are not affected — what your client already received stays as it was.

<Note>
Your business name is the most important setting to fill in before your first quote — it appears on every client-facing document Clarely sends. Logo and contact details can be filled in as you go.
