# Jobs FAQ

> Common questions about scheduling and managing jobs.

**Can I create a job without a quote?**

Yes. Go to **Jobs** and tap **New Job** to create one manually. Select a client, add a title, and set a date and time. Manual jobs are useful for work that doesn't need a formal quote — quick add-ons, internal work, or anything where you've agreed on scope verbally.

For work that requires a signed agreement, create a quote first. When the client signs, a job is created automatically (if you're using the field service flow).

**Can I reschedule a job?**

Yes. Open the job and tap **Edit** to change the date, time, or duration. Rescheduling doesn't affect the originating quote or the signed scope.

**What happens if I need to cancel a job?**

Open the job and tap **Cancel**. Cancelled jobs are removed from the active schedule. The originating quote stays in your system. You can reopen a cancelled job if needed.

**Can two team members be assigned to the same job?**

Yes. Assign as many team members as needed. All assigned members see the job in their team portal.

**Can a team member see jobs they're not assigned to?**

No. Team members only see jobs assigned to them, through the team portal. You see all jobs across your entire team.

**How do recurring jobs handle scheduling conflicts?**

Clarely doesn't automatically check for conflicts on recurring jobs. Review your team view after setting up a recurring schedule to make sure there are no overlaps.

**Can I add notes to a job?**

Yes. There are two note fields:

* **Owner notes** — visible only to you
* **Team notes** — visible to you and assigned team members through the team portal

Clients never see either note field.

**What happens if a job is created from a quote but I want to cancel?**

Cancel the job from the Jobs section. Cancelling a job doesn't affect the quote — the quote stays Accepted. If the work won't happen, you may want to note that in your owner notes for reference.
