# Send an invoice

> Send an invoice to your client for payment.

Once an invoice is ready, sending it takes one tap. Your client receives an email with a link to view the invoice and your payment details.

## How to send

From any draft invoice, tap **Send Invoice**. Clarely sends an email to your client on your behalf.

## What the client receives

The email appears to come from your business — your business name shows as the sender. Your client gets a short message and a single link to open the invoice. The link takes them to a page showing:

* Your business name and logo
* The invoice total and balance due
* Your payment options — Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, and Pay by card if you've connected Stripe
* Any payment notes you've configured

The email intentionally contains just the link — no line items are included in the email body. Everything is on the invoice page itself.

<Note>
  Invoice emails are sent via @send.clarely.app infrastructure. If a client asks about the sending address or notices it in their email header, that's normal — it's how Clarely delivers email on your behalf. Any reply they send comes back to you directly.
</Note>

## Resending an invoice

If your client needs the invoice resent, open the invoice and tap **Resend**. A new email goes to the same address on file.

## Payment reminders

Clarely can automatically remind clients about unpaid invoices. Configure reminder timing in **Settings → Workflow** — see [Invoice reminders](/invoices/invoice-reminders) for the full setup. Once set up, reminders go out automatically — you don't need to track it manually.

Reminders stop automatically when the invoice is marked paid.

## Recording payment

When a client pays through Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, or another method outside Clarely, open the invoice and tap **Mark as Paid** to update your records. If they pay by card through your connected Stripe account, Clarely marks the invoice paid automatically — you don't need to do anything.

See [Payment handling](/invoices/payment-handling) for manual payments, or [Accept card payments](/invoices/accept-card-payments) for how card payments work.
