# Schedule a job

> Set a date, time, and location for a job.

When a client signs a quote using the field service flow, a job is automatically created in your **Jobs** list with **Unscheduled** status. Scheduling it takes about 30 seconds.

## Schedule an unscheduled job

  <Step title="Open the job">
    Go to **Jobs** and find the job. Unscheduled jobs appear at the top or can be filtered by status.

  <Step title="Set the date and time">
    Tap **Schedule** or open the job and tap **Edit**. Pick the date and start time. The end time auto-fills based on your default job duration — adjust if this job is different.

  <Step title="Assign team members (optional)">
    Select one or more team members from your list. Assigned members see the job appear in their team portal immediately. See [Assign team members](/jobs/assign-team-member).

  <Step title="Save">
    Tap **Save**. The job moves to **Scheduled** status and appears on your schedule.

## Create a job manually

You can also create a job directly without a quote — useful for quick add-on work, verbal agreements, or internal tasks.

    Tap **Jobs**, then tap **New Job**.

  <Step title="Select a client">
    Choose a client from your list.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a title and details">
    Give the job a title. Set a date and time if you have one — or leave it unscheduled for now.

  <Step title="Save">
    Tap **Save**. The job is created and appears in your list.
  </Step>

## Editing a scheduled job

You can edit the date, time, location, team assignment, and notes on any job that hasn't been completed. Open the job and tap **Edit**.

## Job details from the quote

Every job created from an accepted quote carries the full context automatically — client name, scope notes, and the link back to the signed quote. You don't re-enter any of that.
