# Quote follow-up

> Automatically follow up on quotes a client hasn't responded to.

Clarely can follow up on a quote automatically if a client hasn't responded — a nudge that goes out without you having to remember to send it.

## Turning it on

Go to **Settings → Workflow**, under "Before the job," and turn on **Send automatic follow-up**. Follow-ups only ever go out on quotes that are still **Sent** and haven't been signed, declined, or cancelled — and only once the client has an email on file.

<Note>
  Change orders never get automatic follow-ups, regardless of this setting. If a client goes quiet on a change order, that one's on you to chase.
</Note>

## Basic follow-up

By default, this is one email, sent once. Choose how long Clarely waits after the quote is sent — **24 hours**, **48 hours** (the default), **72 hours**, or **1 week** — and customize the message if you want something more specific than the standard reminder. After that one email, Clarely doesn't follow up on that quote again automatically.

## Advanced follow-up

Available on Professional and above. Instead of a single email, build a sequence of up to **3 follow-ups**, each with its own wait time and its own message. The key thing to understand: **each step's wait time counts from the previous step, not from when the quote was originally sent.** If your first follow-up goes out at 48 hours and your second step is set to wait another 72 hours, that second email sends 72 hours after the *first follow-up*, not 72 hours after the original quote.

When advanced follow-up is on, the basic single-delay setting is ignored — the sequence is what runs.

## What to do next

Turn on **Send automatic follow-up** in Settings → Workflow to stop chasing unsigned quotes yourself, or build a multi-step sequence if one nudge usually isn't enough.
