Every job in Clarely has a status that reflects where it is in the workflow. Keeping statuses current gives you and your team an accurate picture of what’s happening.

Status definitions

StatusMeaning
UnscheduledJob created but no date or time set yet
ScheduledDate and time set, work hasn’t started
In ProgressWork is actively underway
CompletedWork is done
CancelledJob will not be completed

Updating a status

Open any job and tap the status button to move it forward. The sequence is: Unscheduled → Scheduled → In Progress → Completed You can also move backward (reopen a job) or cancel from any non-completed state.

Completing a job

When you mark a job Completed, a 15-second undo window appears. If you complete a job by mistake, tap Undo within that window to revert it. After the undo window closes, completion is final. If your account has auto-invoice enabled and the job came from an accepted quote, Clarely automatically creates a draft invoice. You still control when the invoice is sent to the client — it won’t go out until you tap Send Invoice.
Auto-invoice creates a draft — it doesn’t send automatically. You review and send when you’re ready.

Cancelled jobs

Cancelling a job removes it from your active schedule. The originating quote remains in your system for reference. Cancelled jobs can be reopened if needed.

Recurring jobs

For recurring job series, cancelling one occurrence doesn’t affect the rest of the series. To cancel all future occurrences, see Recurring jobs.
