The service catalog lets you pre-define the services your business offers — with names, descriptions, and optional prices — so you can add them to quotes and invoices without retyping the details every time.

Setting up your catalog

Go to Settings → Services. From there you can add, edit, and manage all your saved services. Each service entry has:
  • Name — required. The service name that appears on quotes and invoices.
  • Description — optional. A plain-text description of what the service includes. This pulls into the line item description field on the quote or invoice.
  • Price — optional. If you leave this blank, the price field is empty when you add the service to a quote — you fill it in at quote time. If you set a price, it pre-fills automatically. Either way, you can always adjust the price before sending.
  • Category — optional. Group related services for easier browsing. Categories support two levels (category and subcategory).
  • Taxable — toggle on for services that should be taxed at your account’s tax rate. Defaults to off.
Leaving the price blank is useful for services where the price varies by job — like hourly work or custom projects. A blank price field must be filled in before you can save or send the quote.

Adding a catalog service to a quote or invoice

In any quote or invoice builder, tap the (+) button in the service name field of a line item. Your catalog opens. Tap the service you want — the name, description, and price (if set) fill in automatically. Adjust the quantity or price as needed for this specific job. The catalog is available in all four builders: new quotes, quote editing, new invoices, and invoice editing.

Taxable flag

Each catalog service has a taxable toggle. When you add a taxable service to a quote that has tax enabled, that line item is taxed at your account’s tax rate. Non-taxable services are excluded from the tax calculation even when the overall quote has tax applied. Set the taxable flag on services that should always be taxed, and leave it off for services that aren’t taxable. See Line items for how per-item tax works.

Editing a catalog entry

Changes to a catalog entry only affect future uses. Editing a service name, description, or price does not update existing quotes or invoices — those line items are already saved and, once a quote is accepted, permanently frozen.

Plan requirement

The service catalog is available on Professional plan and above. On Starter and Free, the (+) button is visible but locked — tapping it shows an upgrade prompt. Line items can still be entered manually on any plan.
If you offer the same set of services repeatedly, building out your catalog before your first quote eliminates the repetitive typing on every new job. Even five or ten saved services saves significant time across a month.
